Violence against Women and Girls Symposium
Mrs Cripwell was invited to attend the first symposium of it's kind in the Bailiwick
Eight guest speakers attended Guernsey's first Violence Against Women and Girls Symposium in what has been described as a “major stepping stone” towards combatting gender-based violence.
They were invited over to the event - organised by Guernsey Police and Public Safety Campaigner Poppy Murray - from the UK and Jersey, to discuss "a broad spectrum of topics" including male allyship in law enforcement, creating safer public spaces, VAWG research and data collection, and risk mitigation for increasingly diverse communities
More than 100 people attended the event including the Bailiff, law officers, police and many from the charitable sector.
