The Lieutenant-Governors' Conference

The Queen's representatives from Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man met in Jersey 5-7 April.

Our own new Lieutenant-Governor joined the recently appointed Sir John Lorimer, Lieutenant-Governor for the Isle of Man, and Sir Stephen Dalton who is coming to the end of his 5 year term of office in Jersey and will depart after the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.

The group were accompanied by their wives (who had their own programme of events) for the high level conference held regularly in one of the islands. Recent events meant the last had been in 2018 in the Isle of Man. 

The group took the time to tour various places of interest in Jersey as they always do in the host island in between business meetings to discuss matters that affect them all as the de facto Head of State in their respective jurisdictions. Topics include Brexit, Public Registers, Honours and Awards, Entrustments, UK Legislation and Immigration.
