Dahlias, crafts and The Lieutenant-Governor's prize-winning banana cake. 

His Excellency was slightly embarrassed (and very pleased) to get first prize in the Men Only baking class for the second year in a row. And whilst we do have a cordon bleu chef in the house, rest assured that Pippa is banished from the kitchen whilst the master baker is at work. 

But not to be outdone, the gardeners produced some truly perfect dahlias and the house staff took some prizes in the flower arranging with just a little room for improvement. They will be back again next year.
