NATO Talk to the Alderney Society
His Excellency regularly visits the smaller islands and on this occasion, he was asked to give a talk to the Alderney Society on his time in NATO.
The Talk was delivered to a full house and was very well received by everyone who attended.
In the photograph is Kate Russell BEM who used to work at NATO and her husband Brigadier John Russell who were thrilled to be able to attend the talk and meet with His Excellency. Also in the picture is Alderney Society President Trevor Davenport, Alderney's leading Military Historian.
The Society is responsible for running the museum in Alderney which is located in the Old School House and houses a wonderfully eclectic range of artefacts telling the History of the Island. The Society also runs the Alderney Railway boasting the only train in the Channel Islands.
With thanks to David Nash for the photographs.
