Launch of the Dolphin Parade
The Lieutenant-Governor is patron of GSPCA and Mrs Cripwell, patron of Autism Guernsey so Government House was especially pleased to launch another parade of artistic animals. The were a few words of welcome and thanks from His Excellency and a short update from Andrew Warren of Autism Guernsey and Steve Byrne of the GSPCA. Also making a very welcome appearance was two of the dolphins, designed by students from Amherst Primary School and The Ladies’ College.
62 dolphins will find themselves spread around the island from 1st May and the trail will once again make a wonderful addition to the activities for families throughout the summer.
The auction will take place in September again so look out for the dolphins and choose your favourite if you're thinking of bidding on a beautiful seaborne mammal.
