Investiture of Lieutenant-Governor's Cadets

It's a bittersweet moment to say goodbye to the old L-G cadets, having got to know them so well over the year but it's also a joy to be able to welcome the newest recruits to the Government House team.

His Excellency welcomed the new cadets to Government House alongside their families, nominators and representatives of their organisations, their schools and the Youth Commission who assist Government House in the recruitment process. He congratulated them on getting through the appointment process and gave a few well chosen words about making the most of the opportunity they would be given in this role.

The outgoing cadets also practised their extensive communication skills acquired over the past year, and spent time talking to the new cadets and their families, giving them a serious pep talk about the expectations of the office and, letting them know how much they have enjoyed their year as L-G Cadets.
