Home Affairs Long Service Awards

His Excellency presented Long Service and Good Conduct Medals to members of the security services.

Government House was very pleased to be able to host the Long Service Awards for the Island's Services including two from the Fire Service, one from the Prison Service, seven from Guernsey Police, one for the Special Constabulary and five members of the Civil Protection Volunteers. 

His Excellency raised a glass to toast the recipients and thanked them for their service, expressing the gratitude of the people of the Bailiwick for honourable service and devotion to duty. It was an honour to host these officers and they were very happy to be able to accept their awards in front of a crowd of their family, friends and colleagues.
