Government House entries into the South Show

Entries into the South Show have reached over 1000 for the first time in many years and a few of those, at least, will be from some of the staff at Government House including flowers, art and some baking.

His Excellency has won the Men's Only Baking Contest for the last two years in a row. But will that be his entry this year? Can he make it a hat trick? There are a number of competitive males out there who are determined this will not be the case... 

UPDATE: Men Only Baking Class - 2nd Place for His Excellency. So congratulations to the man out there who made better cheese and olive scones than the Lieutenant-Governor to cut is 1st Place streak. 

But all is not lost in the kitchen, His Excellency's Ginger Cake did place 1st in its category.

Alongside the baking wins were several awards for flowers, honey and eggs thanks to our magnificent Gardeners and a 3rd place for Deputy Butler Clare who was 'forced' to enter her painting of Government House into the category of artwork not scheduled anywhere else.
