Girl Guides World Thinking Day

Mrs Cripwell is especially fond of the Guernsey Guides and was very pleased to be able to attend some of their World Thinking Day with them, joining in with their activities and talking to the girls about the things they enjoy. 

The day had been arranged as a 'flight' to 4 different countries where there would a session of games and activities. They arrived with luggage and were checked in with their tickets before 'boarding' their plane and travelling to Brazil, Malaysia, Ghana and Finland. They spend time in each country doing activities like Latin American Dancing, skittles and making turtles from wool and lolly sticks. Each 'country' area also had a video playing about girl guiding in that country and showing the kinds of games and interests those guides would be involved in.
