First Official Visit to Alderney
His Excellency and Mrs Cripwell making their mark with their first official visit to Alderney.
The Lieutenant-Governor and Mrs Cripwell visited Alderney 19th and 21st April - their first official visit to the 'Northern Isle' where they took in the sights and soaked up the wonderful warm Alderney welcome.
They enjoyed a tour of the Island with William Tate, President of the States of Alderney, and his wife Gabrielle which included stops at The Nunnery to tour the Roman ruins, meeting Dr Isabel Picornell who has been a member of the dig team and a stop for ice cream was most definitely scheduled.
His Excellency and Mrs Cripwell attended their first States' Meeting, in the afternoon after which they had the opportunity to meet with Alderney States Members and various official guests at a Vin d'Honneur held in their honour.
