Blanchelande School planting a tree
From the Blanchelande College Facebook Page:
Blanchelande College welcomed the Lieutenant Governor, Lt Gen Richard Cripwell, to plant a copper beech tree which was gifted by Guernsey Trees for Life, thanks to a campaign by two former Year 6 students. Theo and Alexander collected signatures to raise awareness about deforestation and the importance of tree planting as part of their Year 6 Signature Work Inquiry. Their tree symbolises the power of small actions to protect the environment and is dedicated to the Royal Guernsey Light Infantry, in honour of the upcoming anniversary celebrations. An initiative which aims to inspire future generations to fight for our environment!
