Battle of Britain Parade 2025

The Battle of Britain is commemorated annually at the beginning of September in gratitude to The Few who defended the country and therefore gave us the freedom that we have today. It is also an opportunity to remember the people who are currently fighting for their country.

201 (Guernsey's Own) Squadron will be flying in from their base in Lossiemouth and will join the military units, cadet organizations, standard bearers and military veterans for the parade down to their inspection ground in Market Square.

The invited Inspecting Officer this year is 'local boy', Air Commodore Nick Lowe who will be accompanied by the Bailiff, standing in for His Excellency who will be off island. It will also be the first time out for four of our new Lieutenant-Governor's Cadets as they will take position holding the Standards of the Union Jack and the Guernsey flag, flanking the Inspecting Officers when they take the Royal Salute.
