A trip across the Causeway

His Excellency and Mrs Cripwell braved the West Coast tides for mulled wine and mince pies.

Hundreds of islanders usually make the annual trek across the causeway for the hugely popular event held by the Lihou Charitable Trust.

There was mulled wine to enjoy, alongside teas and coffees, mince pies and cake for a donation to the charity. And for the children and the young at heart, an elf hunt around the island...

The Lieutenant-Governor and Mrs Cripwell are no strangers to wellies, having visited various farms around the island but this was their first trip to Lihou and they certainly did have to break out their Guernsey jumpers and woolly gloves for that chilly walk across the causeway. .
