A reception for the public offices of the Children's Tribunal System

15th Anniversary celebration for the Children's Convener and the Child Youth and Community Tribunal

The Lieutenant-Governor hosted the sponsors, supporters and tribunal members for a special event to celebrate this unique organisation that has been so successful in creating a system to help young people with more challenges than most.

His Excellency visited their offices earlier this year and was very impressed with the dedication that has gone into making this system work for Guernsey, dealing with issues that are rarely talked about but are critical for future wellbeing. He is pictured in the photo with the Children's Convener, Karen Brady; Tribunal President, Steve Melbourne and Chair of the Tribunal Board, Jon Beausire.

Three independent public offices make up the Children’s Tribunal Service for Guernsey and Alderney:

  • Child, Youth and Community Tribunal
  • Office of the Children’s Convenor
  • Children’s Convenor and Tribunal Board

Their purpose is to make decisions that help improve the lives of children and young people in Guernsey and Alderney.
