A new playground for Les Voies School

Les Voies School were the lucky recipients of a new playground provided to them with funds from the Wooden Spoon Charity, an organisation that pledges to help children with disabilities or those facing disadvantages. It raises funds on behalf of the rugby community by organising fundraising events including competitions, challenges and charity dinners.

His Excellency was asked, as Honorary President of the charity, to open the specialist play equipment at Les Voies which is the Guernsey school for children and young people aged 9-16 that experience Social, Emotional & Mental Health Difficulties.

The day held a special surprise for when former Australian Rugby Star David Campese was able to attend the opening as well, much to the delight of the children and the rugby loving Lieutenant-Governor.
