Countdown to the Island Games

On another beautiful summer's day in July, the Bailiff, in his role as Deputy Lieutenant-Governor, stepped up to host a reception at Government House to celebrate the one year countdown for the Island Games in 2023. The Games were postponed from 2021 and will now take place 8-14 July 2023. 

The reception was attended by representatives members of the International Island Games Association from all of the Islands competing in Guernsey 2023. 

Dame Mary Perkins is the Chair of the organising committee who are working hard behind the scenes to make the next Games a hugely special event so if want to keep yourselves up to date on the plans for next year, check out their website for  Guernsey 2023

The date was marked with an official countdown timer started by the Bailiff and to which all the IIGA websites will be linked.
