Sark Chief Pleas

The Chief Pleas of Sark met on Wednesday 19th January, when the Assembly were joined by the Bailiff, attending in his role as Acting Lieutenant-Governor.

Covid-19  has rather restricted the number of functions the Bailiff has been able to enjoy in his temporary role as so many have been cancelled. So with only three weeks left before the investiture of Lieutenant-General Cripwell, he was very pleased to be able to get across to Sark and take part in the proceedings in such a unique island.

It was also a good opportunity for the Bailiff and the ADC to the Lieutenant-Governor, Major Marco Ciotti who accompanied him on the trip, to catch up with Christopher Beaumont, the Seigneur of Sark  and to talk through many of the issues that affect our island communities.
