Battle of Britain Commemorative Parade and Service

It is now 81 years since the Battle of Britain, and the Lieutenant-Governor inspected the Parade and Church Service at the Town Church on Sunday 12th September to commemorate the occasion.

During the Parade, His Excellency and the Bailiff, Richard McMahon inspected the Standards of the Ex-Services and various Youth Organisations in front of a large crowd of onlookers. The National Anthem was played in Church Square and the Sir Ian spent some time talking to some of the cadets and ex-servicemen on parade.
