Taking to the skies on CIAS's newest Islander aircraft

Back in March 2019, Channel island Air Search took delivery of their new purpose adapted Britten Norman Islander aircraft replacing the aircraft lost in an accident five years ago.

The new aircraft carries the registration 2-CIAS and the name Lions' Pride acknowledging the continued support of the Jersey and Guernsey Lions Clubs.

As a keen pilot himself, His Excellency was very pleased to be able to take up the offer of a flight in the aircraft and was sat up front and in control for much of the flying. Lady Corder isn't always so excited by the small planes, was very pleased the weather was so good that day and admitted to having had a wonderful time as they took in a course around all the islands including Jersey and Les Minquieres.
