Jump in a Puddle for Cancer

On Friday 15th January, His Excellency and Lady Corder hosted a national fundraising campaign, inviting people across the Bailiwick and beyond to don their wellies and help to raise £1,000,000 for Cancer Research UK by jumping in puddles.

The initiative,, was inspired by local charity campaigner Susie Campanella, whose close friend Gary Burgess received a devastating terminal cancer diagnosis at the end of last year. The campaign aims to raise a million pounds by inviting fundraisers to donate just one pound to jump in a puddle and upload an image onto its dedicated website, which can be shared across social media platforms.

The campaign has already received widespread support from local businesses and several high-profile islanders, many of which have already pulled on their wellies and gone dancing in the rain.

If you would like to join them and support this very worthy cause, make sure you upload your pictures onto the website and social media and we can spread the word and join the fight against Cancer.
