Big smiles at Rotary Club picnic

It wasn't just the Cheshire Cat who was grinning at Saturday's Rotary Club Alice in Wonderland-themed picnic held in the grounds of Government House.  A collection of stalls, a bouncy castle and a fancy dress competition all made for a fun family day out.

The event was the Rotary Club's second picnic to be held in the grounds, with organisers hopeful that visitors would help them raise money for local children's charities following the success of last year's Mr. Men-themed picnic which raised over £8,000 for Guernsey Mind.

As you will see from the picture below, His Excellency and Lady Corder had a tough decision when picking a winner in the fancy dress competition as many children came dressed as their favourite characters from the Alice in Wonderland story.

Thank you to everyone who came to support the event!Rotary Picnic Fancy Dress
