Riding for the Disabled Annual Gymkhanas
Last Wednesday and Thursday (11/12th Jul) Lady Corder attended this year's Riding for the Disabled Association (Guernsey Branch) annual Gymkhana events at the Otterbourne Stables, Torteval and the La Carriere Stables, St Sampson.
She was able to witness children of all ages participate in various competitions that tested their riding skills in all sorts of imaginative and fun ways, and which ensured that everyone was rewarded with an impressive haul of winners' rosettes.
Lady Corder, who is Patron of Guernsey's RDA and a regular visitor to their training sessions, commented that she always impressed by how much the children benefitted from their interactions with the ponies. She also commended the volunteers who assisted in running the training saying that their work was invaluable and encouraging anyone who was interested in helping to contact the association directly.
