She spent time talking to various volunteers manning a variety of stall selling Hats, Bric-a-brac, crafts and flower arrangements and all those who had come to enjoy the delicious afternoon tea, many sporting a variety of different headgear.  She also met with a number of children who added to the general 'Lewis Carroll' theme by dressing as all the famous characters from Alice in Wonderland.

Lady Corder, who is Patron of the GVS, remarked that it was great to see people of all ages coming together to enjoy a fun afternoon whilst also raising money to support the island's outstanding volunteer service.
