The exhibition was designed to showcase ACE (Aspire, Create, & Empower) opportunities through technology whilst also promoting safe engagement with the internet as part of Guernsey's online safety week.

His Excellency met representatives of Guernsey's various digital businesses as well as members of a 'young coders' club and of the University of the Third Age who have been running IPAD user courses for more senior citizens.  He was also introduced to some of Guernsey's emerging digital charities, such as 'Gamers for Good'.  Together with Lady Corder, he was joined by his son Alex who, as a Army officer with recent operational experience in Afghanistan and Estonia, is no stranger to modern technology.

Sir Ian commented that he was 'delighted to see such innovation thriving in Guernsey and to attend an event designed specifically to to promote confident and safe technology use for people of all ages'.
