Lady Corder joins Pink Ladies

200 metres to go! Last Saturday evening (24 Jun) Lady Corder joined around 1500 other pink clad walkers in their annual Pink Ladies walk in support of breast cancer services.

Lady Corder acted as the official 'starter' for the walk cutting a pink starting ribbon at Grandes Rocque before joining in with the participants to complete the 10 mile hike around the north east of the island through Bordeaux and the Bridge before finishing in Market Square. Showing off the medals The evening was rounded off with an informal party in the Square accompanied by the strains of the tribute group 'Abba Sensation'.

This was Lady Corder's second long distance trek this month having completed the Saffrey Rotary Round Island Walk in early June.  She commented that she had never realised being the Lieutenant-Governor's wife would be quite so energetic!
