This Friday (21st Apr) the Lieutenant Governor and Lady Corder visited the opening day of the 2017 Guernsey Boat Show.  After a break of six years, this year's show aims to re-establish the event as an annual occurance.

In a blaze of Guernsey sunshine, Sir Ian got the event underway at midday with a loud ring on HMS GUERNSEY's ships bell immediately after the noonday gun was fired.   Together with Lady Corder they then toured some of the 17 exhibitors hosted by Richard Southern and Matt Le Page of the Guernsey Marine Traders Association, all whilst sipping a refreshing gin and tonic made with Guersney's very own Wheadon's Gin.  They even had time to step onboard one of the shows largest exhibits, a 60ft Beneteau Monte Carlo 6!
